The mechanism of action of amoxicillin is a violation of the formation of the cell wall of microorganisms, which leads to their death.
With oral administration of the drug, amoxicillin is well and quickly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and entering the blood, penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body. The bioavailability of the drug is 80%. The maximum concentration in the blood serum is reached 2 hours after administration and is at the therapeutic level during the day. It is excreted from the body mainly with urine and partially with bile, mostly in unchanged form. AMOXISTIM 50% by the degree of exposure to the body refers to moderately dangerous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76). Application procedure:
AMOXISTIM 50% is used in calves, pigs and poultry for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in colibacteriosis and salmonellosis, as well as in other bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts caused by pathogens sensitive to amoxicillin.
AMOXISTIM 50% is administered orally to calves and pigs with drinking water or milk substitute in a daily dose of 20-40 mg 1 kg of animal weight (corresponds to a dose of amoxicillin 10-20 mg / kg).
Birds are given the drug orally with drinking water. The required amount of Amoxistim 50% per 1 liter of water is calculated by the formula: m = (0.04 * Mptits)/Vvodes, where
0.04 - dose of Amoxistim 50% (g/kg),
m is the amount of amoxistim 50% (g/l),
Mptic is the total live weight of the processed poultry population (kg),
V - total daily water consumption by livestock (l).
The drug is used for 3-5 days.
Contraindication to the use of the drug is an individual hypersensitivity of the animal to ?- lactam antibiotics. AMOXISTIM 50% is not used for infections caused by penicillinase-forming microorganisms. It is forbidden to use the drug to laying hens in connection with the release of amoxicillin with an egg.
