Pharmacological properties

AMOXISTIM 50% is an antibacterial drug of prolonged action of the group of semi-synthetic penicillins.

Amoxicillin trihydrate, which is part of the drug, has a wide spectrum of bactericidal action against gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms, including Actynomyces spp., Bacillus antracis, Clostridium spp., Corynebacterium spp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp., Aclinobacillus spp., E.coli, Salmonella spp., Fusobacterium spp., Haemophilus spp., Moraxella spp., Pasteur ell a spp., Proteus mirabilis, Leptospira spp.

The mechanism of action of amoxicillin is a violation of the formation of the cell wall of microorganisms, which leads to their death.

With oral administration of the drug, amoxicillin is well and quickly absorbed in the gastrointestinal tract and entering the blood, penetrates into all organs and tissues of the body. The bioavailability of the drug is 80%. The maximum concentration in the blood serum is reached 2 hours after administration and is at the therapeutic level during the day. It is excreted from the body mainly with urine and partially with bile, mostly in unchanged form. AMOXISTIM 50% by the degree of exposure to the body refers to moderately dangerous substances (hazard class 3 according to GOST 12.1.007-76). Application procedure:

AMOXISTIM 50% is used in calves, pigs and poultry for therapeutic and prophylactic purposes in colibacteriosis and salmonellosis, as well as in other bacterial infections of the gastrointestinal and respiratory tracts caused by pathogens sensitive to amoxicillin.

AMOXISTIM 50% is administered orally to calves and pigs with drinking water or milk substitute in a daily dose of 20-40 mg 1 kg of animal weight (corresponds to a dose of amoxicillin 10-20 mg / kg).

Birds are given the drug orally with drinking water. The required amount of Amoxistim 50% per 1 liter of water is calculated by the formula: m = (0.04 * Mptits)/Vvodes, where

0.04 - dose of Amoxistim 50% (g/kg),

m is the amount of amoxistim 50% (g/l),

Mptic is the total live weight of the processed poultry population (kg),

V - total daily water consumption by livestock (l).

The drug is used for 3-5 days.

Contraindications:

Contraindication to the use of the drug is an individual hypersensitivity of the animal to ?- lactam antibiotics. AMOXISTIM 50% is not used for infections caused by penicillinase-forming microorganisms. It is forbidden to use the drug to laying hens in connection with the release of amoxicillin with an egg.

Overdose:

No overdose symptoms were detected.

Features

The features of the drug's action during its first use have not been established. If there is no improvement in the clinical condition after using the drug for 3-5 days, it is recommended to re-check the sensitivity of microorganisms isolated from sick animals or poultry to (3-lactam antibiotics or replace AMOXISTIM 50% with another antibacterial drug.

Warnings:

Skipping the next dose of the drug should be avoided, as this may lead to a decrease in therapeutic efficacy. If one dose is missed, the use of the drug is resumed in the same dosage and according to the same scheme.

When treating animals, AMOXISTIM 50% should not be used simultaneously with thiamphenicol, chloramphenicol, penicillin group antibiotics, cephalosporins and fluoroquinolones, as well as preparations containing carboxymethyl cellulose.

Slaughter of calves for meat is allowed no earlier than 8 days, pigs no earlier than 7 days, poultry no earlier than 3 days after the last application of AMOXISTIM 50%. The meat of animals forcibly killed before the expiration of the specified period can be used to feed fur-bearing animals.

Personal prevention measures:

When carrying out therapeutic and preventive measures using the drug AMOXISTIM 50%, the general rules of personal hygiene and safety measures provided for when working with medicines should be observed.

At the end of the work, wash your hands thoroughly with warm water and soap.

All work with Amoxistim 50% is recommended to be carried out using personal protective equipment (bathrobe, hat, rubber gloves, goggles, respirator or protective mask). While working with the drug, it is forbidden to drink, smoke and eat. At the end of the work, wash your face and hands thoroughly with soap, rinse your mouth with water.

In case of accidental contact of the drug on the skin or mucous membranes, it must be washed off with copious amounts of water in case of contact with the eyes - immediately rinse them with water, if necessary, consult a doctor.

Shelf life and storage conditions

AMOXISTIM 50% is stored in the manufacturer's closed packaging, separately from food and feed, in a dry place protected from light, at a temperature from 5 ° C to 25 ° C.

The shelf life of the drug, subject to storage conditions, is 3 years from the date of manufacture.

AMOXISTIM 50% should be stored in places inaccessible to children.

It is forbidden to use the drug after the expiration date.
