EYMESTAT 2.5% is an anticoccidium drug for the treatment and prevention of coccidiosis in poultry.
Toltrazuril, which is part of the drug, is a synthetic substance that belongs to the triazintrione group, has a wide spectrum of anticoccidial action and a high degree of safety. Toltrazuril is effective against all types of parasitic coccidia in birds at the stages of intracellular development of parasites, including E. acervulina, E. brunetti, E. necatrix, E. mitis, E. adenoides, E. meleagrimitis, E. anceris, E. truncata, E. rgaesoh, including strains resistant to other anticoccidial drugs.

After oral administration, toltrazuril is slowly absorbed and has a coccidiocidal effect on the mucous and submucosal membranes of the gastrointestinal tract.
